Upgrade Policy
Spitfire Software releases a new version of InCharge! about every 4-8 weeks.
These new versions contain enhancements and fixes for all validated problems
reported up to that time. The new versions can be installed by registered
users who have subscribed to the current upgrade subscription period (the
current period runs through October 31, 2001).
The price of a subscription is $20. For more information see below.
A summary of our support policy is:
- New users purchasing the complete OS/2 package from a reseller such as
Indelible Blue receive the latest version of InCharge!
free on diskettes when they send in their registration card.
- New users who purchase the electronic version from any source receive both a
serial/registration number and a subscription key for the current subscription
period.
- Support, both defect and application questions, is provided
free via our web site support forum (www.spitfiresoftware.com), e-mail (customer-care@spitfiresoftware.com), and telephone (404-257-0187) for both
the OS/2 and Windows versions.
- The electronic subscription update service is available at a
price of $20 for each six month period. A single subscription covers both the OS/2
and Windows versions. The current subscription period
runs through October 31, 2001 and starts with the release
of version 1.02.72. When you subscribe to the service you will be able
to download and install all new versions released during that period
from our Internet home page. Current registered users who are not
subscribers will
NOT be able to install the new versions. The current plan is to
continue to make new versions available every four to eight weeks.
Therefore the average cost per new version will be less than $4. We have
an electronic newsletter that is only available to
update service subscribers. To subscribe to the update service call
Spitfire Software at 404-257-0187 or send an e-mail to
landeckb@bellsouth.net containing your name, e-mail address, InCharge! serial
number, any major credit card (EXCEPT Discover Card) account number and expiration date. We
must have your serial number in order to give you your customized subscription key
for installing new versions downloaded during the subscription period.
- Individual registered user upgrades of InCharge! code only are
available on diskette or CD-ROM directly from Spitfire Software for $35 plus
shipping for both the OS/2 and Windows versions.
- Complete package upgrade for InCharge! OS/2 version 1.01 to version 1.02 including new bound manual is available for
$49 plus shipping.
