In Charge! is a full function personal and small business financial system for OS/2 and Windows 95/98/NT. It is an integrated system with the following features:
Multiple Sets Of Books
In Charge! Supports an unlimited number of sets of books.
Multiple Currencies
Up to 100 currencies may be used in each set of books. Assets and liabilities are kept in their native currency and In Charge! automatically handles currency conversion.
Optional Double Entry Accounting
The user has the option of using either single entry or double entry accounting. Double entry is primarily intended for those with a small business whose books must be auditable.
Internet Banking
Full support for Internet Banking with bank and credit card account import and auto reconcilation in both QIF and OFX file formats.
Multiple Accounts
An Unlimited number of accounts may be kept in a set of books. All types of accounts are supported including but not limited to bank, credit card, brokerage, and CMA's.
Account Transactions
Twelve types of transactions are supported for each account: check, deposit, withdrawal, interest, charge, payment, credit, debit, refund, tax, shipping, and discount.
Multiple Year Budgeting
You set the fiscal year start date: Jan. 1 or Apr. 15 or..... Budgets may be created for any fiscal year at a time. All are kept on line. Budget actuals are updated automatically as you enter information.
Payables/Receivables
A complete system which tracks bills and loans in real time. It tells you when bills are due and automates the payments. A complete history of all bill activity is kept.
Prints Checks
Prints checks on all styles of continuous and laser check stock. Checks can be printed immediately or queued for later printing.
Internet Pay Bills
In Charge! supports Yahoo! bill payment system. All you need is an Internet connection to pay all bills on the exact date they are due.
CheckFree Pay Bills
In Charge! supports CheckFree bill payment system. All you need is a modem to pay all bills on the exact date they are due.
Property Management.
Full property management capabilities including home inventory are built into In Charge! System works with the insurance management module to track insurance coverage on an item by item basis.
Insurance Management
Ten different types of insurance policies can be controlled and tracked. Works with property management system.
Securities Management
Stocks, bonds, mutual funds, CD's and other securities managed. Multiple stock portfolios kept. Both certificates and securities held in street name handled. Brokerage accounts managed. Purchases, sales, reinvestments, stock splits, dividend/interest payments, corporate mergers, and corporate divestitures processed. Current stock quotes imported from Compuserve and Prodigy.
Customer Billling/Invoicing
For small businesses In Charge! provides billing and invoicing with integrated order entry and sales analysis. Works with the payables/receivables system to manage your receivables. Works with business inventory system to manage your stock. Handles product and service oriented business. Processes both cash and credit card payments.
Customer Estimates
Provides for creating and print customer estimates/proposals.
Vendor Purchase Orders
Provides for creating/printing/tracking of vendor purhase orders.
Vendor Invoices
Provides for creating/tracking/paying of vendor invoices.
Business Inventory System
Complete small business inventory system. Integrated with billing/invoicing, order entry and payables.
Tax Management
Complete tax management tracking and reporting system. Interfaces directly to all major tax programs.
Query/Report Writer
All systems provide both pre-defind reports and a generalized query/report writer function. Reports are displayed to screen and can be printed, saved, or exported to a word processor. Tabular data can be displayed in both table form and graphical form (line, bar, and pie charts).
Financial Planner
Useful for planning retirement, college, mortgages, etc. Calculates parameters for for compound interest investments, annuities, regular withdrawals and loans/mortgages. Displays amortization tables.
Seven Function Calculator
InCharge! has an integrated calculator with tape available at all times. The calculator can also be use with other porgrams or standalone. The calculator is provided in two forms, algebraic and RPN (HP style).
Calendar
InCharge! has an integrated calendar which may be accessed at any time through a dialog's popup menu. Amoung other things, the calendar can be used to set the date in a date input field.
Notes Facility
InCharge! has an integrated notes facility which may be accessed at any time through a dialog's popup menu. The facility enables to enter, edit, view, delete, search, print, and schedule notes.
Clock Facility
InCharge! has a separate clock with the following features:

Completely user configurable as to time and date formats, desktop footprint, etc.
Has a calendar display. Dates can be transferred from the calendar to other programs via the clipboard.
Has 10 alarms with user defined messages.
Has a job timer (time slips type function) with 5 independent timers which automatically calculates billable time and charges and posts them to the customer's InCharge account. Also notes can be entered into the InCharge notes facility from the clock while timing a job. The timing facilities will continue to accrue time even if the clock or OS/2 terminate/reboot.
Checks the status of due items in InCharge (bills, scheduled batch transactions, scheduled notes, and pending CheckFree actions) and notifies the user when they come due and which are due.
Can set the OS/2 system date and time quickly and easily. For example it is very easy to adjust just the hours on the clock for daylight savings time.
Can invoke the InCharge calculators.

The clock provides three modes of operation:

Continuously running and visible on the desktop.
Automatic minimizing at start up with InCharge due items message and alarm messages displayed when they come due.
Automatic termination at start up if no InCharge items are due. If they are due a message is displayed so that the items can be viewed.

Integration, Importing and Exporting
InCharge ties all systems together for budgeting, payables/receivables, net worth, cash flow analysis, and cash flow planning. It imports directly from Personal Finances 2, Quicken, selected other financial systems, database programs, spread sheets, and any other program which can generate either Quicken's QIF format or InCharge's CSV format files. Exports data in CSV and QIF formats to database and spread sheet programs.
In Charge! is a truly complete personal and small business financial system. It takes full advantage of OS/2 facilities including the Presentation Manager GUI interface, flat address space and multiple threads.
